What is Religion?
I really hate my mum's thinking.
She thinks that it must be because of some things she does that offended God that's why i am still unemployed till now. I think it is absolute rubbish. If i want, i believe i can just go get any job outside, maybe design-related but that's not what i want. besides i have the business thingy which i am still trying to make it work hence the pickiness. She doesn't see it that way. She is impractical. The reasons i stated are the real world practical reasons. Her thinking of religion is absurd and i totally hate it.
She thinks that God punishes for whatever silly little wrong deeds. How stupid. We are not saints, surely even a retard knows that, what's more God? I am not like a Godly person but her way of thinking is no different from idol-worshippers. And I dun agree with whatever fasting sort of thing to get something. it's somewhat rubbish.
My belief is simple. We as humans do and try our best in whatever and we will get our rewards. Maybe it depends on your life and luck as well, that's why some people make it, some don't. You just put your faith in God and that what will happen will happen. You can't force it.
Does giving tithes and offerings guarantee your riches? If so, doesn't that make God some sort of whatever? You give me money then i give you money. Rubbish. Does fasting make it more clear to God you are desperate? Hundreds of hungry people in other countries have nothing to eat (involuntary fasting), are they not in desperate needs?
My belief again is simple. God loves us. Just do your part as human and God will do his work in your life.
Prayer is a conversation, we may ask for something but it's just like when you talk to a friend, telling him what you want or wish for, but do you expect him to buy for you? Prayer is a therapy. Everyone needs someone intimate to talk to. That's why people find relief in religion. Spiritual need some call it.
So don't come and tell me that we should behave like saints. As i mentioned before, we all have a brain to think. And the laws governing our thoughts should be morality and the laws of the society.
God doesn't do revenge and all that. Punishment, i am not sure. It's a gray area ain't it? Just like Karma...so what is Religion?
